Pulse VPN is a type of Virtual Private Network that requires client software to be installed on the remote PC. It is only available on court-issued PCs (laptops, desktops, and Surface Pros). You will be required to set up Two Factor Authentication in order to connect via Pulse VPN. Once connected, youre remote PC has access to all the CourtNet resources that you would have if you were in the office. The Avaya Softphone requires that your PC is on Courtnet. For that reason, you must run Pulse VPN to use the Softphone.
