Solutions to common issues relating to Skype for Business are described in the sections below.
iPhone or iPad Audio Issues
Others can't hear you.
- Make sure you are not muted.
- If you are using a Bluetooth device, you may be unexpectedly connected to a Bluetooth device.
- Go to Settings.
- Click on Bluetooth.
- Turn it off.
- If you still can't be heard, power off your device, and try again.
You can't hear others.
- Your microphone privacy might be turned on.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Privacy.
- Go to Microphone.
- Find and select the Skype for Business App.
- Turn off privacy settings (should no longer be green).
- Check your Audio Output.
- The audio output that you are using is displayed at the bottom of your screen, under the circular buttons.
- If the wrong audio output device is displayed, touch the selected device, and select the correct option.
- Ensure the volume on the device is turned up.
You can't join the meeting.
- Your get a Safari invalid address message when licking the Join the Meeting Link.
- Skype for Business must be installed on the device before clicking on the meeting link. See the related article on Installing Skype for Business.
- Do not open the Skype for Business application after installation. Instead, join the meeting by clicking on the emailed link. If you still can't join the meeting, restart your device.

iPone or iPad Video Issues
You can't see others
- If you are using cellular data, make sure it is enabled in Skype for Business Settings.
- Your video setting might be turned off in Skype for Business
- Make sure that Skype for Business is authorized to use video on your device.
Android Audio Issues
- Make sure you are not muted.
- Check the audio output on your device.
- Select the ellipsis (…) button at the bottom of the screen.
- Under Switch Audio Source, select the correct device (Speaker, Earpiece)
- If the volume is too soft, press the Audio button to enable the speakerphone.
- Ensure that the volume on the device is turned up.
