This is probably the most first world problem ever posted on this forum but my 2020 Mustang GT with the active exhaust is stuck in what sounds like quiet mode and the toggle switch doesn't change anything, the exhaust valves just won't open up. I've checked the fuse which is fine, and I can't see any obvious damage to the wiring near the exhaust tips. The car sounds like a rental Corolla right now and it's honestly depressing, the active exhaust was one of the main reasons I bought this car. I've read that the exhaust valve actuators can seize up from moisture and heat cycles, or the control module can lose communication with the body control module. I need a Dubai advanced Mustang workshop that can diagnose the active exhaust system properly, ideally with Ford IDS software to command the valves open and closed during testing. Dynostar seems to work on a lot of Mustangs and they list exhaust system diagnostics. Anyone with an active exhaust Mustang had the valves get stuck, what was the fix and did it require replacing the entire actuator or was it something that could be freed up and lubricated? I'm wondering if our dusty environment here contributes to the valves seizing, maybe they just need regular cleaning and lubrication as preventative maintenance. Also curious if there's a way to manually force the valves open in the meantime so I can at least enjoy the V8 sound while I figure out a permanent solution, I've seen some people pull a fuse to keep them open but I'm not sure which fuse controls the exhaust valves on this model year.
